Bridge Program for Utah High School Students                    

The Bridge Program allows high school students to earn college-level credit while in high school. The Bridge Program courses are taught at specific high schools in Utah. The program allows high school students to earn credit toward a minor in their chosen language. 

The program is available in the following

Chinese French Portuguese Spanish


Minor Pathways

GPA of 3.0 or above is required to obtain a minor in the Bridge Program languages. The minor in the language of interest can be earned by completing the requirements as outline below.

At USU students who have completed the Bridge Program can advance their language skills by participating in USU language clubs and study abroad programs. Students can also access the USU language lab for help in improving their conversation, reading, and writing skills.  

Learning a language will increase your job opportunities. Language majors and minors enjoy careers in government agencies, international businesses, non-profit organizations, education, translation, and more! Consider adding one of the language majors above, or connecting your language skills to one of the programs below to increase your international skillset:
