Emphasis
Dr. Elena Taylor’s research focuses on interpersonal aspects of language teaching and learning, second language writing, and embodied interaction in second language teaching. Her publications appear in TESOL Quarterly, Classroom Discourse, Linguistics and Education, TESOL Journal, Journal of Response to Writing, System, and TESL Canada Journal. She is currently doing research on relational aspects of writing conference feedback.
Biography
Elena Taylor is an Associate Professor of ESL (Ph.D. Purdue University, 2016). She teaches courses in the Intensive English Language Institute. In her teaching, she is interested in understanding how teacher-student interaction impacts the teaching/learning process. Her areas of specialization also include second language writing and embodied interaction in second language teaching.
