Prageeta Sharma’s honors and awards include a HowardFoundation Award and a finalist for the 2020 Four QuartetsPrize. She has taught at the New School, Goddard College,and the University of Montana-Missoula.

She is the Henry G. Lee professor of English and thefounder of the interdisciplinary conference Thinking ItsPresence: Race, Creative Writing, Literary Studies, and Art.Sharma’s most recent poetry collection is Grief Sequence(Wave Books), which confronts the sudden loss of herspouse to cancer. Other books include Undergloom,Infamous Landscapes, The Opening Question, which wonthe 2004 Fence Modern Poets Prize, and Bliss to Fill.
