English Department's Avery Edenfield Named Inaugral Director for the Center for Intersectional Gender Studies and Research
Associate Professor of Technical Communication and Rhetoric Avery Edenfield has recently been named the Inaugural Director for the Center for Intersectional Gender Studies and Research. Joseph Ward, Dean for the CHaSS, says, “I am delighted Dr. Avery Edenfield has agreed to become the inaugural director...His subject matter expertise and administration experience have prepared him well for this role.” The Center was formed in 2019 to support intersectional and interdisciplinary research and pedagogy, supporting both students and faculty in fostering a climate that promotes equity and inclusion.
