The USU Communication Lab (Com Lab) is dedicated to developing effective, practical communication skills that support students’ academic, professional, and personal success. We provide individualized support through peer and faculty mentorship, and innovative hands-on opportunities for strengthening durable communication skills.
All support offered through the Com Lab is grounded in current research from the field of Communication Studies, ensuring that students receive guidance informed by data-driven best practices. The Com Lab also hosts workshops that reflect the wide-ranging expertise of Communication Studies scholars at USU including interpersonal, intercultural, rhetorical, and media-based approaches to communication. We aim to make communication theory and research accessible, relevant, and applicable for students across the university.
