Overview
The Museum Administration and Collections Management Certificate prepares students to invigorate museums and support their growth by building robust and ethical collections and collaborating with multiple audiences.
This unique program prepares professionals for the changing landscape of museum collections, which requires knowledge of cultural resource management to ensure continued stewardship and preservation of museum collections and records. Participants gain skills in collections management, policy, law, and best practices and gain experience with crucial aspects of museum administration, including development, volunteer programs, planning and evaluation, organizational structures, and management.
The graduate certificate in Museum Administration and Collections Management is designed for fully matriculated graduate students and current professionals looking to enhance their portfolios. Combining graduate-level anthropology courses and interdisciplinary coursework through the School of Business and the College of Agriculture and Applied Sciences, this certificate may be earned as a stand-alone certification or as part of a USU Anthropology graduate program.
