Applicants will be considered based on their:
• Demonstration of academic merit.
• Demonstration of genuine interest and involvement in the Anthropology Program.
• Demonstration of financial needs

• Financial needs may be considered as a secondary factor.
- Must be an undergraduate anthropology major
- Recipients will work with a faculty mentor to develop a research project and submit a proposal and budget as part of their application. The proposal and budget must describe the student’s proposed research and how it builds upon existing knowledge in scientific anthropology. Applications will be scored based on the strength of the scientific question, creativity of the proposal, and feasibility of the budget.
- Applicants are strongly encouraged to apply for a USU Undergraduate Research and Creative Opportunities grant or another grant opportunity. https://research.usu.edu/urco/
- All URCO applications must be submitted between 2/01/2024 and 2/15/2024.
- Scholarly merit and financial need may also be considered as deciding factors.
